Portable Appliance Testing
Every Plug-In. Every Item. Every Test.
Portable and movable electrical equipment takes more wear and tear than fixed installations; it gets carried, dropped, plugged and unplugged repeatedly and stored in all kinds of conditions. That’s exactly why it needs to be tested regularly.
Our PAT testing service covers every class of portable electrical equipment in your workplace. We run a full set of electrical checks on each item, apply a clear pass/fail tag, and compile the complete test data into your digital compliance report. It’s methodical, fast, and leaves no item
unaccounted for.
- Visual inspection for cord damage, plug condition, and physical wear
- Earth continuity test on all Class I (earthed) appliances
Insulation resistance testing to detect internal breakdown or faults - Polarity check on all applicable items
- Leakage current measurement is required where applicable
- Dated pass/fail labels with technician ID and next test due date
- a complete compliance record — every item, every result, same day
Portable Appliance Testing
High-Volume Sites? No Problem.
We regularly handle large-scale PAT testing jobs, warehouses with hundreds of tools, schools with computer labs, manufacturing floors, and healthcare facilities with extensive equipment lists. We work efficiently and systematically so nothing gets missed, and your team barely notices we’re there.
All our technicians are AS/NZS 3760 trained and hold current electrical licences. Every job comes with a fully itemised digital report broken down by item, location, test result, and next due date, exactly what you need for a WorkSafe audit or insurance review.
Everything We Offer
What's Included in Every PAT Test
Visual & Physical Inspection
Cord condition, plug integrity, casing damage, and any signs of modification, we check every item before the electrical testing starts. Problems found at this stage get flagged immediately.
Earth Continuity, Insulation & Polarity Testing
Class I appliances get a full earth continuity check. All items go through insulation resistance testing. Polarity and leakage current checks are carried out where applicable; nothing is skipped.
On-the-Spot Tagging & Itemised Report
A pass or fail label goes on every item before we move to the next one. Your digital report lists every appliance individually with test results, location, and next due date.
